How to Trigger a Client Task from QuickBooks (Uncategorized Transactions)

Client Tasks for Uncategorized expenses are auto triggered for new QuickBooks Online transactions when you follow these instructions:

  • Create a new Expense or Check transaction in QuickBooks Online (integration does not currently support transaction type Bill or Journal Entry)
  • In the Category field select the name of the mapped account you identified when you set up your Integration from Client Hub
  • Click the save button
  • Optional - to instantly pull the transactions into Client Hub click in the ellipsis "..." at the top of the Client Task panel  to check for new transactions

When using the mapped account in the 2 transaction types indicated, this will automatically trigger a new Client task in the Client hub Workspace. This Client Task should appear within a minute of the QuickBooks Online transaction being created.
