Understanding the Client Hub File Manger

The Client Hub File Manager

A simple way to organize, share and store files to share with your client and your team.  The file manager is broken down into several areas:

Folders
  • Client Shared Folder - Files in the folder/subfolders can be accessed and downloaded by all users that have access to this workspace
  • Internal Folders - Files uploaded to this folder/subfolder directly will not be accessible to client users
Buckets
  • Message Files - Files that are uploaded to the conversation panel - can be renamed and moved to Client Shared Folder
  • Client Task Files - Files that are uploaded in response to Client Task file request - can be renamed and moved to Client Shared Folder
Client Shared Folders
  • Create your own folder structure - these will be auto sorted in alpha-numeric order
  • Move files from Message Files and Client Task Files
  • Upload files directly to folders (this can be done by accountant and client users)
  • Move or delete files (accountant users only)
  • Preview image or PDF files - if a file preview is not supported by a browser (.doc,  .docx, .xls, .xlxs, .ppt, .pptx) you will need to download to your local computer then open to view.
Internal Folders
  • Clients do not have access to this folder
  • Create your own folder structure - these will be auto sorted in alpha-numeric order
  • Upload files directly to folders (this can be done by accountant users only)
  • Move or delete files (accountant users only)
  • Preview image or PDF files - if a file preview is not supported by a browser (.doc,  .docx, .xls, .xlxs, .ppt, .pptx) you will need to download to your local computer then open to view.

Information about the Client Hub File Manager

Client Hub Files Manager is designed as a way to organize, share and store files to share with your clients, providing them with an all-in-one platform access everything they need to work with your team.

File manager is not meant to be a replacement for your local files or a cloud-synced document solution (Box, Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive etc.) which allows you to open, edit and save updates.  A best practice tip is to use a local system like this when working on the file and then uploading it to Client Hub when it's ready as a 'client deliverable' (or an internal reference doc for your team using our Internal Folders). Files uploaded via messages, client tasks, or directly to File Manager can be renamed, moved to folders and if the file type is supported by a browser, they can be viewed.
