Client Hub Release Notes - Oct 22 2020

Our development team is on a roll and we have launched several more great updates for you:

Jobs can now include Client Tasks as task items
When you are creating a job for a client, just put in your client's tasks right in the task list. Here is where Client Hub truly stands out -- jobs flow seamlessly across your team and your clients.

  1. Use a "/" to create a Client Task at any point within the task list of a job (For example, you can add a Client Task requesting a bank statement at the beginning of a monthly reconciliation job task list)
  2. Then, when you're ready to do the job, Publish the Client Task to the client in one-click!
  3. Client Tasks flow through the client task workflow as they normally do today
  4. The job card now automatically tracks the number of client tasks that are outstanding

"Pull" latest QuickBooks Online expenses for Client Tasks
QuickBooks has been taking longer to notify Client Hub about the QuickBooks Online transactions in a company -- and at times, it was taking several hours for a QuickBooks Online expense to turn into a Client Task in Client Hub.  Now, for any workspace that is mapped to a QuickBooks Online company, you will see a menu at the top of the Client Tasks panel with an option to immediately fetch the latest Client Tasks from QuickBooks Online.
The automated task creation still works, but now you have a way to immediately create the tasks as an option (and we've taken care so that no duplicate client tasks will be created)

Several other workflow feature improvements

  • "Planned" column in the Jobs Dashboard now only shows "Not Started" jobs that have start dates through the next 7 days
  • A clearer experience to add tasks to jobs
  • Drag/drop to re-order tasks and/or task groups within a job
  • If Start Date is adjusted to be beyond Due Date, then Due Date is automatically moved back (and vice-versa)
