Add a client user to another workspace (useful for clients with multiple businesses)

A client user can access more than one workspace (they also see a menu of workspaces on the left, like you do)

This feature is useful for a couple of different scenarios:

  • Clients with multiple businesses -- set up a workspace for each business and after the client has accepted an invite to their first workspace, just add them to the other workspaces
  • When have a need for a separate private communication thread with one individual client user from an existing workspace (that has multiple users) ... just create a new workspace and add that one person to it

There is no limit to the number of workspaces a client user can access.

  1. Make sure the client user is already active (has accepted an invite to their first workspace)
  2. Add a new client on the left panel (for a private conversation channel, you can name it something like -- it will then appear right below the initial client workspace)
  3. Go to the Client Details tab for this new client workspace
  4. From the Add Client User pull down select “From Existing Workspace”.
  5. When you select the "from" workspace, you will have the option to select which user you want to add (users will not be listed if they have not yet accepted the initial invitation)
  6. A confirmation dialog box will appear at the top of the screen (the user will not be displayed in the list immediately)

Note: an email invite is not sent for subsequent workspaces, the client user will see the new workspace listed on their left navigation next time they log into their web or mobile account.
