Understanding Client Hub Notifications as an Accountant User

Here is summary of how notifications work for accountant users in the platform -

A. Client Conversation Activity: We notify you whenever there is a new message (or file) added to a Conversation

  • Blue Unread indicator next to the workspace name
  • Mobile Notification (if app is installed and notifications are enabled)
  • By Email (if you have not clicked into the workspace to read the message already)

Note: The Email notification is "turned off" by Unfollowing the workspace

B. Client Tasks: We notify you when a client answer task(s)

  • In the Notification Bell
  • Mobile Notification (if app is installed and notifications are enabled)
  • By Email (if you have not clicked into the bell to read the notification already)

Note: All of the above are "turned off" by Unfollowing the workspace

C. File Manager:  We notify you when a client adds a file to a  folder in File Manager

  • In the Notification Bell
  • Mobile Notification (if app is installed and notifications are enabled)
  • By Email (if you have not clicked into the bell to read the notification already)

Note: All of the above are "turned off" by Unfollowing the workspace

D. Internal Workspace:  We notify you when (a) a Job is assigned to you, or (b) you are @mentioned in a Job Comment

  • In the Notification Bell
  • Mobile Notification (if app is installed and notifications are enabled)
  • By Email (if you have not clicked into the bell to read the notification already)

Note: Since these activities are targeted to you, these notifications are always sent, whether or not you are Following the workspace
